Kate Tigchelaar was born and raised in Dundas but now lives in Hamilton. She has been married for nearly 10 years and has two young daughters. In addition to being the Grace Valley Church Administrator, Kate is the studio manager of Zekar Photography Studio, a business she owns and runs with her husband. Kate loves a good book, crosstitching and playing lame computer games. And no, she is not secretly 90 years old.
Paul, along with his wife, Jessica, began planting Grace Valley Church in the fall of 2015, after 14 years of ministry in two established churches. Paul’s passion is sharing the good news of Jesus to anyone willing to listen, whether that’s in worship services, small group meetings, or one-on-one conversations over coffee or a pint. When he’s not doing that, Paul enjoys watching his kids play sports (or the English Premier League), reading too many novels, or occasionally fly-fishing on the Grand River.
Mark, his wife, and their children, love Dundas and have lived here since 2010. After over a decade working in landscape construction, he set out to pursue a call to ministry and began taking counselling courses through CCEF in Glenside, PA, eventually completing their available certificate programs. He is currently completing his M. Div. and is under the care of our presbytery.
Abby Tigchelaar is (so far) a Dundas lifer. She loves working with children and is passionate about them hearing and understanding the gospel in deeper ways. Abby has her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Queen’s University, and is currently working on her Master’s in Child Life and Pediatric Psychosocial Care at McMaster. She is also an Educational Assistant and grade 3 math teacher at Providence Christian School. She is a former introvert turned extrovert (by Jesus) who loves spending time with her community, and is passionate about foster-care and adoption, the GVC Instagram account, and morning coffees.
