Humans tend to think that Jesus is only for good people. They think that “bad” people aren’t worthy of Jesus and don’t fit his “criteria.”

Luke 5 records a story that surprises the religious leaders of the day and many of us today! Jesus is hanging out with people who, at that time in history, would have been considered “bad” people and social outcasts. When questioned, he says that the healthy don’t need a doctor, it is the “sick” who Jesus came for. Are we humble enough to admit our sickness and our need for Jesus or do we consider ourselves righteous and not needing a doctor?
