Myth Become Fact: We've Got A Problem

What's the problem? The problem is sin. Sin isn't just about 'breaking rules'. It's not just "making mistakes" and its not indulging in your favourite triple chocolate treat. It's the reason the world is broken, and it's the reason why Jesus came into the world. Because He knew we'd be completely helpless in our estate and that the righteous Judge, God the Father, would execute divine justice on our souls. Doesn't that sound dramatic? As I write this, I keep thinking this sounds like the plot of a really great movie. But it's the truest and most complete reality, and Jesus' birth, life and resurrection proves it.

Jesus came into the world at the darkest time of year. Because in the darkness, the light always shines the brightest. He is the light of the world, and He came to break the backbone of the sin in our lives. While we still suffer in this broken world, sin limps along and its power is weakened and drowned out by our faith in God's goodness and love for us. Although we didn't and couldn't recognize Him, Jesus has lifted the spiritual veil off of the eyes of His chosen people, those who believe in Him, by His grace alone.
