Who is the internship for?
This internship is for men or women in university or college who are interested in discerning a call to ministry. The program is for those who want practical ministry experience, intentional mentorship and a sense of collegial fellowship with other interns at Grace Valley Church. What is the duration of the Internship?
Typically internships are 4 months to coincide with a semester at a university or college. There are two cohorts offered, one in the Fall and one in the Winter semester. The Fall cohort is from September to December and the Winter cohort is from January to April. The intention is to coincide the internship with the requirements from your degree program at your college/university. However internships may be shortened or extended at the discretion of the Session of Grace Valley Church.
What are the expectations from an Intern?
Interns are expected to commit 10 hours per week each week for a total of 140 hours. This includes participating in cohort meetings with other interns, readings, mentor meetings, and ministry-specific opportunities. Some weeks may be more than 10 hours, other weeks may be less.
